What size generator do I need for my event?
It depends on the total load — sound, lighting, screens, catering and any venue equipment all add up, and lighting in particular can draw more than people expect. Send JMG Audio your equipment list or let us quote the full rig and we will size the generator to match with headroom to spare.
Are your generators quiet enough for a wedding or conference?
Yes. We use silenced units and place them away from the audience with cable runs planned in advance, so the generator stays out of your ceremony, speeches and recordings.
Can you supply backup power in case of load shedding?
Yes. We supply standby sets specifically to cover load shedding, so if the grid drops mid-programme your event carries on. For streamed and recorded events we also recommend battery backup on the critical AV.
Do you supply fuel and an operator?
Yes. Fuel and an on-site attendant can be included in the hire so refuelling and monitoring are handled for you throughout the event.
